Tasmanian Licensed Guiding Operators Association. This site exists to serve as a notice board and information centre for Members of TLGOA and any other interested parties. Where members' contributions are accepted, they will receive priortity for inclusion on this site.

TLGOA's History:

TLGOA's History: TLGOA has served its members since 1992 and represents around 20 adventure tour operators throughout Tasmania each year. Its high standards of professionalism exceed the national recommended standards for adventure tour operators. TLGOA requires prospective members to have operated their business before being accepted as full members, and they must be able to demonstrate their professional practices to our standards and provide a strong safety record.

TLGOA accreditation is represented by an on-going and cumulative system of practical, in-the-field experience. In addition, TLGOA represents its members to several relevant government agencies, and has often worked with them in consultation to provide improved policy directions to individual members and to members as a group. TLGOA members are encouraged to provide input into overall policy matters wherever they deem necessary.
