ELIZA BLYTH (1820-1894) was the daughter of William Edward Blyth and Frances Tabrum and sister of William and Robert, the first of the Essex Blyths to settle in Van Diemen's Land. She came to Tasmania in 1859 and was known as an artist and teacher. Eliza died in Sorell. The two works of art shown on this page are preserved in the Heritage Collection of the State Library of Tasmania.
